AMLU Corporate Announcement

Novel Coronavirus Preventative Measures

StartFragment

Due the current situation concerning the Novel Coronavirus that seems to be spreading around the world, AMLU has instigated the following measures with the hopes of safeguarding its staff members during this time.

Our Hong Kong head office will resume normal business hours starting on Monday February 3, 2020 unless there are extenuating circumstances or, alternative instructions issued by the Hong Kong Health authority to do otherwise.

Our China offices as well as ALL China factories have been notified that work will not commence until February 10, 2020 at the soonest, unless further changes are to be warranted due to the constantly evolving situation with the Novel Coronavirus situation. Furthermore, we recommend that all travel be postponed unless absolutely necessary. In the meantime, we recommend all staff to work at home during this time.

ALL factories outside of China will continue to operate normally unless there are recommendations by the Governmental Health officials of that respective country and/or by the WHO to do otherwise.

In addition, we have already notified ALL of our factories to perform extra Anti-Contamination Measures that were adopted during the SARS epidemic which includes:

  1. All staff will have their temperature taken: when staff initially show up for work in the morning, when staff return to the factory after lunch, and prior to staff leaving the factory at the end of the work day.

  2. Setting regular intervals whereby ALL staff are required to wash their hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds: when staff initially show up for work in the morning, when staff leave for their lunch, when staff return after lunch, and prior to staff leaving the factory at the end of the work day.

  3. Setting up disinfecting stations in various entrances so that every staff's foot-ware are disinfected prior to entering into the factory premises.

  4. Management is to be on the lookout for anyone with coughs, sneezing or those who are not feeling well and to separate any persons displaying such symptoms immediately.

  5. Anyone not feeling well must immediately notify their team leader or respective manager so that our trained medical staff may provide an assessment of their condition.

The goal is simple: we need to increase vigilance on preventing potential exposure of our staff to the Novel Coronavirus by using preventative measures as our first line of defense.

Thanks & best regards,

AMLU Management Team
